The Tippmann A-5 is basically a blow back mechanical marker. It consists of a patented Cyclone Feed System that constantly delivers paint without the need for an electronic loader. The A-5 has a front cocking rod on the left of the gun and to the right there’s a plunger that manually advances the feeder. The gun is longer than the usual paint ball gun but it has a solid, comforting feel to any size hands. It can shoot up to 17 balls per second and the usually sell for about $200-$250. A Tippmann gun comes available in black, silver or camouflage. As if it wasn’t cool enough, the Tippman A-5 is designed to be completely personalized and upgradeable. Make you’re a-5 look like a military rifle by attaching some scopes, sights and straps. Other valuable improvements may include a Flatline barrel system, an electronic trigger frame, or an aftermarket stock.
The major point of differentiation with a Tippmann A-5 is the method it uses to load balls. Inside the cyclone feeder, a star-shaped loader advances after each shot using the same air that fires the ball, in turn forcing the next ball into the chamber. This is a huge time saver because it allows for super rapid rates of fires so that a missed target is virtually impossible when it comes to the reloading process. The A-5 is more accurate than any other mechanical marker but when it comes to needing a sight or scope, an electro-pneumatic gun is better for accuracy and speed.
